Utilizing your previous development experience, you will be challenged in a rapidly growing, fast paced environment. Reporting to the Director, Product Development, candidates will be responsible for creating unique technology solutions; thus maintaining Esprida's competitive edge.

Responsibilities & duties

This is a critical role within the platform development team. This role assumes ownership over the development and execution activities to release complete commercialized software product. It requires very strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to understand and relate to the business objectives behind releasing software products and addressing customer needs. Responsibilities will include:

• Perform analysis and design in the context of full life-cycle systems development
• Develop object-oriented applications in Java.
• Interact with business analysts, identifying requirements and recommending design alternatives.
• Interact with QA team in facilitating testing for functional components of the application.
• Take ownership of and responsibility for product development.
• Apply a full-life cycle development process, such as Rational Unified Process or IConix.
• Act as an intermediate developer able to work both independently and as a member of a team solving problems and implementing solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree with related technology experience or a degree in computer science.
• Candidate should have minimum 3years experience programming in Java
• Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of java including UML, Servlets, JSP, JSTL, XML, Web Services, EJB, JMS.
• Experience with major databases such as SQL, My SQL, Oracle, RDBM, JDBC
• Practical experience in HTML, CSS, and overall presentation layer creation.
• Experience with mainstream application servers such as BEA WebLogic, IBM Websphere and JBoss Server.
• Knowledge of common J2EE design patterns.
• Experience with building Java applications in Unix/Linux environment is a requirement.
• Experience with C/C++ and Microsoft.Net
• Proven record of sound and successful enterprise application deployments.
• Technical skills should include hands-on experience on object-oriented analysis, design and programming.
• Candidates must have excellent oral and written English.
