Remote Management
Remote management accesses, updates, and diagnose your devices from an easy to use, user interface. Esprida constantly maintains information about the status of your device, its current location, and its current configuration data. Settings updated on the device can be synchronized with Esprida Server.
Esprida LiveControl™is designed to manage thousands of devices. Any action you invoke on one device can be applied to all devices through an easy-to-use interface. Use the built-in tools to configure large sets of devices, apply diagnostic actions, recovery action rules, and maintenance tasks with a single click.
When a support engineer investigates an issue, they have a broad range of diagnostic tools available to them. Some of the key features are described below:
- Remote Control – remotely take over the screen on the device.
- Run Scripts – run batch scripts, shell scripts, WMI scripts with parameters from Esprida Server.
- Reboot – remotely reboot the device, and restart services
- Retrieve Files – Retrieve logs, configuration files from end point device.
- Take Screenshot – remotely take a screenshot on demand to find out what the user sees.
- Customize Remote Tasks – add your own remote tasks that are specific to the applications running on the device.
Software Management
Esprida LiveControl automatically distributes software updates; operating system patches, advertisements and other digital files to your endpoint device. Distributions have scheduling, and time-window features to control bandwidth utilization on shared networks. Once distributed, content can be scheduled to run custom installation un-installation, activation, and deactivation scripts.
Content Inventory: Esprida LiveControl maintains inventory of all content packages remotely installed on your endpoint devices. No more guessing if employees successfully followed installation instructions or what version was installed. Esprida LiveControl takes the guesswork out of it.
Multiple Security Tier: From an operations perspective, OS patches, and advertisements are very different. Esprida has a multi-faceted security model to allow advertising agencies to upload promotions, IT organizations to upload patches, and store managers to choose locations and activation dates. Each group has security privileges for their tasks, without compromising the devices.
Asset Management
Esprida LiveControl enables near-real-time insight into your assets from a technical and business perspective.
Your support team will greatly benefit from knowing the hardware, software and geographic aspects of a device when they are identifying problems. They are no longer wasting time (and thus money) doing initial diagnostics to gather asset data. This information has already been gathered by Esprida LiveControl and is available for their use.
From a business perspective sales reports can be created in near real-time. This allows you to make changes to things like prices or promotions quickly when existing strategies are not panning out. Furthermore, marketing/promotion campaigns can quickly be adjusted, updated or completely nixed with immediate feedback from the consumers.
Alerts Management
Alert and Notification Rules inform onsite staff, sales teams, support teams, and help-desk systems when a problem is detected in the field.
There are unlimited escalation levels to send notification rule if a problem isn't corrected within a specified time, all configurable on the user interface with just a few clicks. The content of the notification can be dynamically changed based on device data.
Proactive Error-Handling Rules: Self-healing rules proactively run a set of diagnostic and recovery commands when a problem is detected on a device. Automated error correction will dramatically improve your uptime.
Scheduled Maintenance Rules: Esprida allows you to centrally configure and update maintenance actions such as nightly reboots, and application re-calibration.
Scheduled Data Retrieval Rules: Automatically set data retrieval rules to retrieve data from devices on regular intervals. This data is transferred into the business database warehouse constantly to provide near-real time reports of market behavior. .
Security Compliance
Esprida takes an uncompromising approach to security, especially in PCI and HIPAA environments.
Network Security: Esprida Agents are designed to run on shared networks without compromising the network or the device. All communications occur over https, and all communications are initiated by the agent avoiding the need to open ports, manage firewalls, etc.
Encryption: The Esprida agent uses industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption, the same used by online banking programs.
Multi-Level User Access Control
User Access controls is designed so that the system can be shared with OEMs, Distributors, Service contractors and customers. User roles control access to all objects and tasks. User access is controlled by roles, and the specific devices to which they’ve been given access.
Audit Logs: All user access is tracked and logged for security access purposes.
Endpoint Security: Esprida works with other security partners, in PCI and HIPAA compliant environment. Esprida works to address PCI DSS Compliance requirements 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10.
Reports & Dashboards

API Extensions
Upload information from your devices into your IT systems in near real time. Esprida LiveControl has a rich set of APIs that allow it to synchronize data with other systems.
Asset Tracking Systems: Esprida LiveControl has APIs to share asset tracking information. This allows you to provision large sets of devices onto Esprida LiveControl automatically when new devices are deployed into the field.
Help Desk Systems: Esprida LiveControl APIs also facilitate integration with help desk systems such as HEAT®, Remedy™ and NTR Global™. Esprida APIs automatically open tickets, close tickets, notify on-site personnel or dispatch service technicians whenever a malfunction is detected.
Marketing Data Warehouse: Esprida LiveControl collects much more than systems management data from your devices - it collects the data about the impact on the business. Esprida services stores separate business databases to retain information about: customers, products, transactions etc. Esprida LiveControl provides reporting APIs to present the data, and also data access APIs to share this data with data warehouses.
Agent Integration: The Esprida Agent is an open system that has several operating system independent APIs that allow customers to integrate with their devices.
